A stream flows into a small pond above Logan Pass. Reynolds Mountain soaks in the late evening sunlight as a waxing moon rises higher in the sky above. At 7,000 feet in elevation this part of Glacier National Park can be covered with snow up to 10 months out of the year. Even at the end of a long and hot summer, snowfields remained on most north facing mountain slopes.
