Located just 8 miles west of downtown Baltimore, Patapsco Valley State Park is a suprisingly scenic place. The Cascade Falls Trail goes up a ravine filled with numerous small waterfalls and cascades. This mossy waterfall was the biggest, about 20 feet high. It wasn't a very nice day with thick clouds and rain. But that kind of weather is actually the best for pictures like this. The clouds helped to diffuse and even out the light and allowed me to use a longer shutter speed, making the water look like milk. The rain also made the foliage look even more vibrant.
