Johnson's Shut-Ins
The Johnson's Shut-Ins are found on the Black River of Missouri. A shut-in is where the river splits into channels as it flows in between hard rock that is resistant to erosion. In 2005, a broken dam flooded this area and caused extensive damage. It took 4 years to rebuild the state park facilities and restore the areas damaged by the flood.
