In the middle of the Mojave National Preserve lies the Cima Volcanic Field. The field covers almost 60 square miles and contains 40 cinder cones. The cinder cones vary in size, but the one pictured is the tallest. This would have been an amazing sight to see when the volcanoes were erupting.
