  • I love all the abandoned structures found in Eastern Montana. I came across this one while storm chasing outside of Ekalaka. Mammatus clouds were boiling above.

  • There were about 8 bighorn sheep grazing on this hillside. When I walked up to take pictures I didn't even notice this ram to my left at first. He traversed a steep 45 degree slope and came within about 50 feet of me. He looked like he had been in plenty of fights with patches of fur missing on both sides and a broken left horn.

  • The Johnson's Shut-Ins are found on the Black River of Missouri. A shut-in is where the river splits into channels as it flows in between hard rock that is resistant to erosion. In 2005, a broken dam flooded this area and caused extensive damage. It took 4 years to rebuild the state park facilities and restore the areas damaged by the flood.<br />
